After a customer completes your digital waiver, you can redirect them to any website you wish. This is called a "Redirect URL".
From your Waiver Editor:
1. Choose the the Options tab.
2. Scroll down to the Redirect URL section and place a checkmark in the box.
Smartwaiver allows you to redirect the participant’s browser to your website after either of the following actions take place:
The participant has submitted the waiver but needs to verify their email address.
After submitting the waiver the participant has already verified their email address.
In both cases the redirect occurs immediately after the action takes place. When setting up a Redirect URL, be sure to include text that prompts the participant to verify their email address. This text should be placed prominently on the alternate website.
Below is the messaging that we recommend you add to your website:
- Participant has submitted the waiver but needs to verify their email address: "A verification email has been sent. Please click on the link in the email to verify your email address."
Participant has verified their email address: "Your email address has been verified".
Redirect URL's can also be set up for waivers submitted at a kiosk. However, only experienced developers creating a custom solution with Smartwaiver should proceed.
Tip: Redirect URLs must be complete URL formats (starting with https:// or http://) otherwise they will be ignored. Example: google.com will not work but https://www.google.com will work.
Also, if you're having issues saving a redirect URL, we recommend using an URL shortener (e.g. Bitly, Google, etc...)
