When integrating Smartwaiver with your MailChimp and Constant Contact lists, you may see 'Failures' listed on the integration page after the syncing process. In most cases, there are three reasons for a Failure:
- The participant did not 'opt-in' to your email marketing list on your digital waiver. The 'opt-in' box must be checked in order for Smartwaiver to integrate directly with MailChimp or Constant Contact.
- The participant's email address is already registered to one of your email marketing lists (duplicates are rejected).
- Your MailChimp API key or Constant Contact integration was revoked.
- Check to see if you have any custom fields in your Lists that are marked as "Required".
Within MailChimp:
MailChimp may not allow the transfer of your Smartwaiver data as it does not have a corresponding matching field from Smartwaiver and will be rejected. In MailChimp, go to "Settings", "List Fields and Merge Tags". Uncheck any custom fields you have created (i.e., anything besides Email, First Name and Last Name). Click "Save" and then it's good.
