** The Smartwaiver Kiosk app supports iPads running iOS version 13 and higher and Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 and Lenovo Tab M10 running Android 10.0 and higher. If you have an older device that is unable to use current operating systems, follow the instructions below to display your waivers on your tablet. **
If you're using a tablet to display your waiver(s), you can use the free Smartwaiver Kiosk app OR, as an alternative, you can display your waivers using the Kiosk Mode URL.
To create a Kiosk Mode URL, simply find your web URL by going to the Add To Your Website tab and choose your wavier template.
Click on the Copy Link button and paste the URL in the browser. Replace the word web at the end of the URL with kiosk and that is your Kiosk Mode URL
Example:
https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/52af9ea45783b/web/
Result:
https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/52af9ea45783b/kiosk/
The only difference between the two is that Website Mode requires your customers to validate their email address as an additional identification step and Kiosk Mode does not. Why? Because customers signing waivers in Kiosk Mode are in front of your staff and therefore do not require the additional identification step.
When you use the free Smartwaiver app for your iPad or Android tablet, the Kiosk Mode waiver will automatically be displayed when you login with your username on your device.
If you are not using the free Smartwaiver app at your location and are having customers sign the waiver within the browser, you will need the Kiosk Mode URL.
Displaying Multiple Waiver Templates on One Page
If you're using a Waiver Index Page to display more than one waiver template on a page, you can also enter the Wavier Index Page URL into your kiosk/tablet's browser, which will display all waiver titles that you've added to your Waiver Index Page. To find your Waiver Index Page URL, simply click on the star icon located next to a waiver template.
The URL of the Waiver Index Page will display in the address bar.
Note: If you are using a computer or laptop as a Kiosk and run your Kiosk Mode URL in the browser, we recommend turning off Auto-fill settings in your browser and running Presentation Mode or use a Google Chrome Kiosk extension.
