The File Upload field allows participants to attach a file or image to the waiver during the signing process. Some waivers may require images - this is a great feature if you need customers to submit items like a photo ID, certifications or vaccination cards.
Before we get started, there's a few things to keep in mind about our File Upload feature:
-
Waivers can format one File Attach/Upload question per template (with a maximum file size of 10mb).
- File types allowed: JPG, GIF, PNG, PDF
- File Upload/Attach will only display if the participant is filling out the waiver on their own device, and does not function on a Kiosk, or through the Kiosk app.
You cannot add an Upload File field to the Participant Questions section, it can only be added in a Custom Section
If there are multiple participants on the waiver (Adult and Minors), the question will only appear once.
With all of that in mind, let's get into it!
How to add a "File Upload" section to your waiver:
How To View The Attached File Or Photo:
When a file has been attached on the waiver you can find it in your Waiver Console by pulling up and clicking a participant’s name.
Once you click the participant's name, a new window will appear on the right-hand side. Within this new window, click the Files tab to show the file submitted with the waiver.
- You can opt to download, or delete, the file.
As always, if you have any additional questions about adding a field, need help with the editor, or just want us to double-check and make sure you did it correctly, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at support@smartwaiver.com!
