Smartwaiver supports the creation of waiver templates in English, Spanish, French, and Simplified Chinese.
Note: We're happy to assist with uploading a Spanish, French, or Simplified Chinese version of your waiver, but we ask that you consult with a fluent, Spanish, French, or Chinese speaking attorney before using that waiver within Smartwaiver.
To set up a waiver in Spanish, French, or Simplified Chinese:
1. Click on Create / Edit Waivers
2. Click Create New Waiver Template
3. In your new waiver screen, click on the Settings button
4. Scroll down to the Language section and Select Your Waiver Language from the drop down
5. Click the Close button on the bottom right of the Settings screen to save your language choices.
6. Now you can move through the various sections of the Waiver Editor, adding your Waiver Title, Legal Verbiage (into the body section), and any custom questions as needed.
7. When you are finished creating your Spanish/French/Simplified Chinese Waiver, click the Publish Waiver button in the upper right to save your new waiver.
You will now see your new Spanish, French, or Simplified Chinese Waiver in your Waiver List.
Any default questions, i.e. Participant Name, E-mail, age verification, etc., will appear in the language setting that's been chosen.

If your Parent/Guardian verbiage is the same as the default text shown below, it will be automatically translated into Spanish/French/Chinese in the waiver.
If your Parent/Guardian verbiage differs from the Smartwaiver default verbiage, you will need to provide the translated text of your choice.

If you would like to include the Spanish/French/Chinese waiver on your Waiver Index Page, click on the Settings button and scroll down to the Waiver Index Page section.
Move the toggle to the right to Include this waiver on your Waiver Index Page below and give the waiver a public-facing title (e.g. French Waiver).

Important: Because of the dynamic nature of smart waivers, some of the Spanish/French/Chinese text you include on your waiver may not be grammatically similar to your English version. It is your responsibility to review the final result with a legal adviser to confirm that your published smart waiver is suitable for your business.
